Can’t believe it’s almost Halloween with Thanksgiving just around the corner. Consider entering our first annual autumn porch decorating contest (details below). You don't have to be Martha Stewart to enter.
We are coming up on our one-year anniversary when we decided to build a site about porches.We had no idea how much fun we’d have when we started but are so glad we took that first step. We are very excited about the coming year so stay tuned for more additions to our site. And as always, send us your comments and suggestions; we’d love to hear from you.

Autumn Decorating Contest - we encourage you to enter our autumn porch decorating contest. You don’t have to be a Martha Stewart to enter! It doesn’t have to be the entire porch; it could be your door, the steps, or a decorated corner. Decorated Halloween porch pictures are welcome also. Deadline is November 1st, 2009.
The Porch Company - we are excited to announce that we received some beautiful photographs of custom designed screen porches from The Porch Company of Nashville, Tennessee. You’ll see great designs, features, and a myriad of options. Their custom designed screened porches are truly works of art.

We can't forget Halloween! We've collected a multitude of Halloween decorating ideas to give you some interesting and fun ways to decorate your porch.
Porch Feature
Extend the season by using a heat lamp on your porch or screen porch. We used a space heater on our screened porch and was able to comfortably use our porch almost year round. I think these are even better. Heat lamps
