QUESTION about Retaining Natural Color of Wood on Porch) Dave, thanks for your advice on my porch. Now I would like to know if you would recommend any product that retains and protects the natural beauty of the massaranduba wood decking for my porch? I have been told that it will turn to silverish-gray if left alone to the elements.

ANSWER: Use an oil based finish with ultraviolet inhibitors. You will need to clean regularly and reapply the finish periodically to ensure the massaranduba retains its color.

You may want to check out TrueTone. Haven't used it personally, but research indicates it may be what you are looking for.
