Mary and I know you probably have hidden away lots of knowledge and experience that could actually be used to supplement your retirement income, help your kids and grand kids, or provide an additional means to help others.

Have you wanted to write a book, share a passion or hobby, or teach someone how to carve, knit, or make bird houses?
  • Do you love to read? Then write reviews.

  • Are you a woodworker or remodeler? Then show how to do it.

  • Do you travel? Then share your adventures.
  • wine glasses
  • Enjoy fine wines? Then help people choose the right ones.

  • Do you cook? Then share your recipes.

  • Write poetry, paint, or take photos? Then write, paint, and share photos online.
Don't make me think of everything...

I can't help but think of my father-in-law. He loved to listen to classical music. He passed away before the internet was popular, but I know he would have had lots of fun communicating with others about classical music online.

The internet allows you to do all of the above and lots more. You do not need to know how to do it. You just have to want to learn something new and be willing to put in the effort.

Of all the things you've learned along the way, you can surely learn how to publish a webpage, especially if you have the internet tools we use.

The tools we used to create our internet business, Front-Porch-Ideas-And-More.com, are easy to learn and are meant for people who are not web gurus.

CASE STUDY: Taking Care of Grand Kids

Taking care of grand kids? We know several retired (and not so retired folks) who are raising their grand kids. Not an easy task by any means. Take Betty and Bob (not their real names).

grandparents with kids They never envisioned taking on that responsibility at this stage of their lives. Both have to work longer and they are weary from chasing young ones; it's why you have kids when you are young!

Your retirement money once programmed for travel and security is eroded by purchasing school clothes, paying for activities, food, and other essentials.

One answer is capitalizing on what they already know from years of experience. Betty and Bob are creating an informational web site together. Little by little, they compile information and publish it on the internet on their own web site.

They are not particularly internet savvy. They use a set of tools that not only helps publish their material but also educates them on how to get traffic to their site.

Relatively easy, yes. Takes work - definitely. But, they will be rewarded with passive income that will not only help their grand kids but also replenish their retirement funds.

Bob and Betty can also bequeath the business to their family, providing a safety net perhaps for generations.

Life is about the journey. Most of us can only imagine having a business of our own. My Dad wanted to own a spaghetti restaurant but it never happened for him. We know he would be amazed and proud at what we have accomplished.

Mary and Dave on the porch Mary and I are so grateful we found a means to create our own on-line business.

It allowed us to leave our corporate jobs and create a whole new lifestyle. Mary documented our internet business journey so you can see how we did it.

The internet gives all of us that opportunity. It literally gives you access to the entire world!

Use your knowledge and experience to create a business for you and your family.

All you need is a computer, the right internet tools, a great mindset and a comfortable place from which to work.

We do our work from our kitchen table - and often in our jammies!
