Dog Training Online Tips
Who wants to play ball?
If you say, "I want to train my dogs myself", then these dog training online tips are for you.
Dave and I love dogs.
And even though we don't have one of our own right now, we do have a wonderful granddog, Blue.
Your dog may be small or large, energetic or sleepy, short-haired or long-haired.
No matter the kind of dog you have, there's ONE thing that makes any family dog more lovable.
What do you think it is?
What's One Thing that Makes a Dog Extra Lovable?
Does your dog have it?
That one thing that makes a dog more lovable and easier to enjoy is good behavior, of course.
Whether you have an adorable brand new puppy or you have an older dog, aren't there always behaviors you wish were better?
After all, who doesn't love a dog that's well behaved?
- A dog who listens to you and knows YOU are in charge
- A dog that is relaxed when friends come over
- A dog that doesn't dig up your back yard or bark excessively at the neighbors
- A dog that doesn't pull on their leash when you take them for walks
- A dog that doesn't chew - or go potty - where they shouldn't
- A dog that is easy going
How to Discover Your Dog's Hidden Intelligence
To Gently Improve Their Behavior
Dave and I recently came across, Adrienne Farricelli, a professional CPDT-KA certified dog trainer living in Arizona.
Adrienne took years to develop techniques to help unlock your dog's natural intelligence so that your dog's undesirable behaviors fade away and are replaced with good behaviors.
Adrienne calls it her "paint by numbers system for creating the wonderfully well-behaved pet you desire."
In this online dog training program developed by Adrienne that you can do from the comfort of your own home,
she covers a multitude of bad behaviors and how you can gently correct them in your dog.
Even digging, whining, chewing, too much aggression, barking, anxiety, over protectiveness rough playing, biting and of course, help with potty training too.
The cost of dog training need not be expensive.

Meet Our Granddog Blue
Our granddog Blue is super cute!
This little guy is hardly little anymore.
But this is what Blue looked like as a young pup.
Blue is a very well-behaved huskador (mix of husky and lab), especially at meal time.
He sits very patiently while his family goes downstairs to fill his dish with food.
They put his dish in place on the kitchen floor next to his water, but Blue doesn't budge until they say "OK".
Then, of course, he's all about chomping it down.
How Blue looks today
We Loved Our Dog Barney...
I remember our dog Barney, who was a mix of a German Shepherd and a basset hound. Funny mix, right?
Yes, he was short and stocky like a dachshund but with rounded floppy ears. And strong, too!
But admittedly Barney had two not-so-nice behaviors that bothered us.
First, if it was raining, he would want go outside to do his business but when we let him out, he'd beg to come right back in because he didn't like the rain.
And round and round we went. Over and over, he'd beg to go outside and immediately beg to come back in, until finally (after the 5th or 6th time), he would "go".
Does your dog do this too? Aaargh!
Secondly, if someone would open the door and accidentally let Barney out (without his leash being on), he'd run and run and not heed our call.
The more we'd run after him, the more he'd run away.
In fact, he would wait till we were just about able to reach out and touch his collar and then he would start running again.
That, my friends, was exasperating, to say the very least.
An Embarrassing "Barney" Story
One day I was home by myself. Dave was at work and the kids at school.
Barney managed to get out the back door and I was still in my nightgown.
Oh-my-heavens. How embarrassing to chase him in my nightgown - in the light of day - across our backyard - then across neighbors' backyards - only to have him run away even more.
I somehow managed to bring him back home, but my goodness, that was frustrating.
Many dogs can have undesirable behaviors like that.
But what if you could gently train them to listen to you and behave in agreeable ways?
Wouldn't that be gold!
