Spring Can't Come Too Soon EditionFebruary is not only the month of hearts and presidents but also the perfect time of year to start planning your spring front porch and landscaping projects.
We know many of you still encased in snow and cold, yearning for warmer weather. Some can see the proverbial "light at the end of the tunnel" while others are already enjoying sunny days on the golf course.
We are anxious for spring and already lining up projects anticipating the more enjoyable weather that lies ahead. Whether you just came in from shoveling snow or changing from golf shoes to tennies, we'd thought we'd share a few ideas and pictures with you.

Although small in size, this charming home has lots of curb appeal. The babbling brook probably doesn't come with it but the wrap around porch is ideal.
This larger open wrap around front porch and home is reminiscent of a farmhouse style home.

The arches between the columns remind me of the Romanesque style home. I would change the dormer to a gable dormer which I believe would be more complementary with the home's architecture. Your thoughts?
St Patrick's DaySt Patrick's Day is not too far off. Whether you are of Irish descent or not, celebrate this fun day by adding some Irish green on your front porch.
See how we made this cute burlap shamrock pillow and pillow toppers for St. Patrick's Day.
Porch And Deck Drainage SystemsHere's the perfect solution to adding protected outdoor space to your home. If you have an elevated front porch or deck, adding a deck drainage system will allow you to use the area beneath without getting wet. You can even add a ceiling, lights, outdoor fans, and other amenities to create an outdoor entertaining area.
Dek Drain's protective panels attached to deck joists for new construction. For existing decks and porches, the deck drainage system is installed and hidden between the joists.

Porches and Birds Flock TogetherHad two of our grandchildren over recently to paint some bird houses. They both agreed that "birds love brightly colored bird houses!" Placing bird feeders and bird houses near your porch is a fun way to enjoy your porch sitting time.
Our older grandson helped paint this bluebird house that we just attached to a tree next to our front porch.
