Our house is the coolest on the block! We got a lot of good comments from our trick or treaters and neighbors!

They liked our Zombies on our picture window and the monster in a basket scared them a lot. Our neighbors can't wait to see our Christmas decorations.

Mary and Dave: Thanks so much for your fun pictures, Evangeline!

At night black lights and orange lights change the whole look.

We love the fall season we start with Halloween and carry it over into Thanksgiving, with a few changes and add-ons. We grow are own pumpkins and corn stocks and all the little extras.

Mary and Dave: Thanks a lot for entering our porch contest, Tara! Wonderful.

With the help of my 2 sweet little nieces I was able to decorate my porch for both Halloween and Thanksgiving with just a few changes.

The girls also decided that we need a white pumpkin which I've never used before but LOVE it!!!

Mary and Dave: Thank you, Sharee, for sharing your decorated porch with us! Love it.

I usually decorate my house but this year decided to do the porch also. My daughter helped me. She made my witch's broom out of an old Tiki torch and honeysuckle vines.

I made the pumpkins in the wheelbarrow and the pillow. I tried to use as many natural materials from my yard as I could: Grape vines, honeysuckle vines, yarrow, hydrangea, wisteria pods, acorns.

The rest was every rusty old thing we could find around the house.

We love sitting out on our front porch, especially during the fall season. The mums really add a spice of color along with pumpkins of different sizes.

The lanterns have battery-powered candles which are great and give our porch a cozy feeling during the evening.

Mary and Dave: Thank you for entering our contest, Melissa. We like the idea of your battery-powered lanterns. Pretty porch! Happy autumn!

As soon as the air begins to turn cool, we are reminded that soon the hillsides will be a blaze of color that will treat us to the warm colors of autumn. There's no place we would rather view the show than from our side porch.

Yes, it's small, but this cozy spot is perfect for a moment to stop, enjoy a meal and absorb the wonders this season brings.

Thank you, Cindy, for entering our contest with your autumn side porch.

We did a few things different this year, used brighter mums, and got the urns at a benefit for one of our dear friends who lost her battle with cancer, so they are precious to us.

Mary and Dave: So happy to see your autumn porch for 2011, Rhonda. Thank you for entering your pretty autumn porch into our contest again this year.

My husband built this porch for me this summer. It is my favorite place to go. I love decorating it for the seasons.

Fall happens to be my favorite time of year. We took this picture late in the evening and thought the shadow of the cornstalk was neat.

Mary and Dave: Pamela, thank you for entering our Autumn Halloween Porch Contest. Very sweet of your husband to build a porch for you. Happy Autumn!

Welcome is simply what this front door says to our guests! I love working with this 30 foot vine. I load it up with all of my favorite things and just when I thought I was finished I would sneak in a birds nest, a beehive and even a little witch's hat!

This vine is displayed year round and the miniature white lights are kept on a timer so I never have to touch it.

For some extra fun I added peacock feathers, willow branches, nandina berries and an assortment of pumpkins. They look like they have been there forever. I will simply exchange these decorations and add more for each season.

Mary and Dave: Thank you for entering our Autumn Porch Contest, Peggy. Happy autumn!

A new home with an old fashion wrap around porch. I enjoy decorating the porch as the seasons change. I like to find interesting items and place them around the porch.

There are several sitting areas for morning coffee, dinner for two, rocking chairs and wicker furniture providing a different view of the yard. My family enjoys them all.

Mary and Dave: Helene, thank you for entering our contest and sharing your autumn porch with us.

My Fall Porch has beautiful vibrant colors and small to large pumpkins. I also added a couple of scarecrows. The autumn wreath on my door adds an inviting touch with lots of fall colors.

Growing up in South Texas, I never really had the chance to enjoy the rich and colorful wonders of Autumn. Here in Georgia, I really get the opportunity to utilize colors that easily blend in with the nature that surrounds us.

I took special care in making sure that I was consistent with sunflowers, and scarecrows throughout my theme. I LOVE fresh flowers each season, so it made sense to add plenty of mums...which actually paired well with my summer snapdragons that are still beautiful and thriving !

Mary and Dave: We're really happy you entered our autumn porch contest, Danielle!

Fall is my favorite season, but here in Colorado you don't get to enjoy it that long. My front porch is small but I try to pack as much color on it for the most show.

Mary and Dave: Thanks for entering our contest, Jody. Enjoy your beautiful Colorado autumn. Thank you for sharing your fun fall colors on your autumn porch.

Like most country/prim decorators fall is my favorite season....the main reason why I fall for fall is because of the scents... the smell of pumpkin pie, cinnamon, pumpkin pie, apple crisp, pumpkin pie....I use the pumpkin scent all year long in fact. If it comes in lotions or hand soaps I stock up!

It is also one of my favorite times to decorate because browns and tans are my favorite colors. They are the color I dress in and decorate in and well, fall brings the most out of both of these favorite colors.

Our back porch is where guests frequent to come on in to our warm glowing home...

You will find on our back porch that nothing says "Fall" as much as a wagon full of colored leaves and a pumpkin...some burlap... it's actually used all year long in some parts of our house.

A clear fat vase full of pumpkins seems to be a wonderful popular accent this year:)

I like bringing up an old black wrought iron fence from the basement during the fall to use as a back drop to add some whimsy....

I hope you have enjoyed this autumn tour of our porch and that you were inspired!

Mary and Dave: Thank you, Tress, for entering our autumn contest. You have a very warm, welcoming back porch. Thank you for sharing your autumn decorating with all of us!

My front porch is not very big but I do enjoy it. I like to sit in my rocking chairs when the weather is nice. When decorating my porch, I want a feeling of comfort and to give a hint of what you may find inside!

Mary and Dave: Andrea, thank you for entering your pictures into our "Autumn and Halloween Porch Contest". You have a wonderful fall front porch with vibrant colors. Our readers will enjoy the porch decorating ideas you have shared with us for their own porches.

We are so happy to have received all of these beautiful autumn decorated porches. We sure enjoyed hearing how you decorate for the fall. Autumn is like no other season in its beautiful golden and red colors.

Happy autumn from Dave and me and thank you for sharing your porch pictures for everyone to see and be inspired.
