Decorating with lights need not be expensive nor ornate. Often times the simplest Christmas light ideas make the most impact and create lasting memories for all.

 For example, T. E. Rush, in the photo above, captures the beautiful simplicity of this wonderful porch. Note how both the rails and the brackets on the exterior house trim are adorned with holiday lights.


As a child, I fondly remember Dad trying to unsnarl the bundles of Christmas lights. A few choice words always seemed to help. But no matter, in the end, we all went outside in the darkness to witness the "turning on of the lights". Time flies but memories remain.
