Outdoor Christmas Wreaths
Decorate Your Front Porch and More in Style
The holiday season is just meant for outdoor Christmas wreaths on your front porch!
Decorative front door wreaths work well not only on your front door but also on your railings or attached inconspicuously to your porch columns.
Mix and match or use the same style and colors to create your very own holiday appeal.
Mary and I are happy to share a few of the many wreath ideas for Christmas we've collected on this page.
But that's not all, we have plenty more along with instructions for making your own!

Adding decorative items to your existing wreaths can be relatively inexpensive and allows you to create a one-of-a-kind holiday wreath for a festive front door.
Andrea, in the photos above, added birds, a butterfly, teal colored glittery poinsettia, and a big silky bow to create this sparkly front door wreath.

Mary and I really love the front door holiday wreath in the photo above.
It is the epitome of color and texture and would look fantastic for the Christmas season on any front door.
Our Featured American Four-Square Home
Our many thanks to John Pisello for these photos.
We are very grateful to John Pisello for allowing us to share photos of his beautifully decorated American four-square home.
Built in 1910 by Marion Wallace, the Wallace-Hollis home is uniquely designed with an 1,100 square foot wrap around porch.
This could be a daunting task to decorate, but see how John brings out its beauty using Christmas wreath decorating techniques.
The wrap around porch was rebuilt in 2006.
Take special note of the front porch columns.
They were wrapped with additional wood and a panel effect was created by wrapping the existing columns and adding the red trim.
The red color on the spindles replicates the original brick red color from 1910.
Simple outdoor Christmas wreaths decorated with red ribbons complement the red trim on the window frames an columns.
The poinsettia adds a nice touch too.
Christmas wreath decorations on the front door always add appeal along with the stained glass.
This one, again decorated with red accents, has a whimsy feel that softens the look of this stately home.
The outdoor rug (or floor cloth) was made by a local artist.
Painted on canvas and sealed against moisture, this beautiful rug with red accent again complements the home's trim color and wreath ribbons.
Often times, we only decorate the railings with wreaths.
John uses festive garland on the railings and places the wreaths on almost all the windows.
We appreciate sharing John Pisello's photos with you and hope you enjoyed seeing his American four-square home.
