Each year approximately 100,000 people parade past these 'over-the-top' Christmas light displays complete with inflatables, motorized features, and even staged characters like Santa.

Known as the Miracle Mile, these front porches are decorated from 10th to 13th Avenues and from 83rd to 86th Streets in Dyker Heights, Brooklyn.
Although many are constructed by professionals perhaps you can replicate some of their Christmas light ideas on your front porch.
