Kelly's Front Porch Christmas Decorating Ideas
Let's Visit My Soulful Home
A delightful holiday front porch. Let's see more...
Welcome to Kelly's inviting Christmas vignette. We really appreciate the arched entrance and rounded steps at her front porch. The gorgeous vine that graces her entry way is a purple trumpet vine or simply purple vine.
In the spring this vine blooms with the most beautiful light purple trumpet-shaped flowers that attract hummingbirds.
The two Christmas trees you see are Leyland Cypress in large pots swathed in burlap. Kelly will plant them in her garden after Christmas.
And do you see her amazing mahogany front door? Kelly says they had it made to complement the leaded glass windows in the front of their home.
The original door was solid and painted black which didn't let in any light. The glass is leaded German water glass to match the two original 1935 front leaded glass windows.
A close-up of Kelly's vignette that is tucked inside her porch.
Simple items: an old lantern, ice skates, a warm plaid blanket, giant pine cones paired with spectacular red apples, a handsome metal bucket painted red and filled with fresh greenery. It's just lovely, a little vintage and most welcoming.
If you like Kelly's Christmas vignette, did you get to see her sparkly gold and orange pumpkins on her autumn porch?
Isn't this a visual delight for the front door? Kelly put fresh greenery, pine cones, berries and kale in this pretty basket for her front door - all from her yard.
What ideas do you have for filling a basket for your front door? I like the idea of natural and fresh elements like Kelly chose but you could also fill a basket with brightly colored ornaments and sparkly lights. That would be fun, too!
Now you see the basket of fresh greenery hanging at Kelly's front door. This is such a welcoming sight. I like how the basket is bursting with fresh natural elements from her yard.
What a beautiful fountain Kelly has at her front porch. The red ornaments make it very festive.
These beautiful succulents look amazingly beautiful for Christmas. I like how Kelly added the sparkly red bulbs.
Kelly lives in a climate warm enough to enjoy live plants at Christmas time. We live in Nashville where pansies and kale are happy in the soil throughout the winter. How about you? Do you live where is it a cold climate or do you have more moderate temps?
