Leisa also framed and matted the art for Lauretta to proudly display in her home.![]() Leisa cropped Lauretta's photo for creating the artworkIf you look closely at the top photo of Lauretta's porch, you will see that it shows a larger view of her porch. We live on a Main Road so there is always traffic, we have a rule on the porch that if someone honks just wave...we wave a lot! Family and friends have been gathering for many years on our pleasant porch and are always more then welcome." ![]() Entry #6- Anne![]() Entry #6- Anne![]() Entry #7- PriscillaPriscilla says, "Our front porch isn't very big ... but it is surrounded by hydrangeas, galvanized buckets of annuals and lots of perennials ! All posts, caps, rails, etc. were made by hand.We have enjoyed many summer nights on this porch. Although it is not very fancy, it is inviting and comfortable." ![]() Entry #13 - Donna![]() Entry #13 - Donna![]() Entry #14 - Tammi on behalf of her grandparents, Bill and JeanTammi says, "I nearly missed entering because I've been so busy with the people who proudly own this porch - my 89 year old grandparents. They have six acres and he still mows it all, keeps two large gardens, and she still cans and freezes. They are both still super active - I think they are more fit than the rest of us! He needs a new heart valve, which should be happening next week. I've been doing a lot of drives to take him to see the doctors and surgeons. These two, they have been creating this legacy of love for the rest of us. They will celebrate anniversary #72 this October. Four generations strong! My daughter is getting married on Sept 5th. We've all spent many days and nights at the homestead with them. About 30 years ago he drastically increased the size of the porch - the sign you see by the kitchen door reads: Welcome to King's Acres - Home of the "Porch People". It was made by my aunt and uncle. I could tell you forever how magical these two people are and still never do them justice. I took these photos at about 6:30 am when I was picking him up last week for another trip to the hospital. The light shining from the window on the far right of the house is the one beside my grandmother's chair. It's our beacon. I hope you enjoy them! I'm not photographer, but somehow it's not important. What's important is the love - and I can't look at these without filling full of it." ![]() Entry #14 - Tammi on behalf of her grandparents, Bill and Jean![]() Entry #14 - Tammi on behalf of her grandparents, Bill and Jean![]() Entry #15 - Sue![]() Entry #15 - Sue![]() Entry #15 - Sue![]() Entry #16 - DebDeb says, "Love following you on facebook! This is our back porch, we are in the middle of the city, just north of Denver, we escape to our porch and are able to forget the troubles of the world! We have all of our summer gatherings here, just had a porch party, this afternoon. My husband built this about 15 years ago. The end walls and ceiling are vinyl and the back wall of the house is brick. Hubby installed a swamp cooler a few years ago (I thought he was crazy) and we are able to sit on the porch even when it's 100°! It's our little piece of paradise. Thank you for sharing all of the beautiful porches around the country!" ![]() Entry #16 - DebSponsored By Leisa Collins Art![]() Watercolor artist Leisa Collins has drawn and painted hundreds of unique house portraits all across the USA.
