Look at These Options for Solar Light Posts
Solar LED lights are perfect in your front or backyard, along your drive, walkway, front sidewalk, garden, and especially near your your patio or porch.
Because they are solar, you have no need to call an electrician which saves you a lot of money.
Most solar lights are powered with a charged AA battery which you can easily replace when necessary, giving you from 6-8 hours of
continuous light at night without affecting your electric bill each month. We like that idea.
Because of their versatility, you can install them almost anywhere which means you will have choices in choosing a location.
As shown below, you can install them inside flower pots, in rock gardens or anywhere near obstacles otherwise not permitted for electric operated light posts.
Gives you variety.
This light post comes with a planter and is 85 inches high and generates 100 lumen instead of the standard 75.
It includes three lanterns and can be ordered with a non-planter base for mounting into the ground.
Mary and I like this style. At 29 inches tall, this is perfect for garden areas or the beginning of your walkway.
You can easily remove the planter and place directly into the ground if you so desire.
Weather-resistant, it has a black finish and turns on automatically at dusk.
Because of its size, you can easily move this to your deck or patio.
Another option for outdoor solar lamps ares solar post top lights.
You can place these on your pedestals or pillars. However, you can also easily install them on a pole or post as most come drilled to insert screws.
Post solar post lights come in a variety of styles also. Most come already assembled; no wiring required.
Some come with a switch to choose either warm yellow or bright white.
You can also find solar post top lights that are designed to fit on top of 4x4 posts like the ones below, making it easy to install.
If using 4x4 posts, we recommend choosing either treated lumber or cedar. You can then use vinyl post covers if desired.
Another option is to install a post (preferably a 4x4, 4x6, or 6x6) and mount a sconce-style outdoor solar light from it.
That will give you many more options from which to choose. And, you'll be able to make the height to your own specifications.
Installing a solar light is easy to do; definitely much easier than running wire.

Dave's Outdoor Lamp Post Lighting Tip
Read the directions carefully. Normally the battery must be fully charged under sunlight before you turn it on.
